Cerebrolysin is an injectable preparation composed of peptides and amino acids derived from pig brain tissue. It functions as a neurotrophic and neuroprotective agent, intended to aid in brain repair, maintain cognitive performance, and promote the survival of nerve cells. Commonly used in clinical practice—particularly across Europe and certain regions of Asia—it is prescribed for conditions such as stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury, vascular dementia, and age-related cognitive decline, with the aim of enhancing neuroplasticity and aiding the restoration of impaired neural networks.
