Description
Gonadorelin
Also known as: GnRH, LHRH, Factrel
Gonadorelin peptide prompts the pituitary gland to secrete luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). When administered in pulses, it helps maintain normal hormonal activity, but continuous delivery leads to receptor desensitization and reduced hormone levels. The outcome is determined entirely by the dosing regimen used.
• A laboratory-made form of gonadotropin-releasing hormone, used both diagnostically and in treatment for a range of reproductive and hormonal disorders.
• Approved by the FDA, with evidence supporting its use based on regulatory approval.
• Common dosage ranges from 100 to 500 mcg, administered two to three times per week via intravenous injection, subcutaneous injection, or through a pulsatile delivery pump.
• Investigated for applications including hormone stimulation, fertility treatments, and as supportive therapy in testosterone replacement regimens.
