TB-500
TB-500 is a fragment taken from the biologically active portion of the full Thymosin Beta-4 protein. It enhances cell migration by interacting with actin—binding and regulating this key protein involved in cellular movement. The peptide increases actin production, supports the formation of new blood vessels, helps reduce inflammatory responses, and aids in the movement of hair follicle stem cells, contributing to tissue repair and wound recovery.
•Status: Currently in the preclinical stage with no human clinical trials conducted. Classified by the FDA as Category 2, though a reclassification to Category 1 is anticipated following the HHS announcement of April 15, 2026. This change will not take effect until formal FDA regulations are issued; the current classification remains in place. A review by the PCAC is scheduled for July 23–24, 2026. Evidence is based solely on animal studies.
•Typical dosing regimen: 2–2.5 mg twice weekly for an initial loading phase of 4–6 weeks, followed by 2.5 mg once weekly for maintenance. Administration is via subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
