GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2)
GHRP-2 stimulates the release of growth hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland by activating ghrelin receptors. Among the GHRP family, it has the most potent GH-stimulating effect, though it also increases cortisol and prolactin levels more than ipamorelin. Compared to GHRP-6, it produces a weaker increase in appetite.
Also known as: Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2, Pralmorelin, KP-102
•Status: Approved in certain countries for diagnosing growth hormone deficiency. Classified by the FDA as Category 2 (restricted), and is expected to remain under restriction following the 2026 reclassification due to concerns about cortisol and prolactin elevation.
Evidence level: Supported by human clinical trials.
•Common dosage: 100–300 mcg, administered 2 to 3 times per day via subcutaneous injection.
•Studied for: Enhancing growth hormone secretion, promoting muscle growth, and improving recovery.
