Melanotan II is a synthetic peptide that is neither approved nor regulated, created to imitate the body’s natural alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It is mainly used for its effects on skin darkening—promoting a tan—and for enhancing sexual desire. However, health authorities across the globe have issued strong warnings about its use, citing serious concerns regarding safety and potential health risks.
