Description

Epithalon (Epitalon)

Also known as: Epitalon, Epithalone, AGAG

Epithalon (Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide composed of the amino acids alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, and glycine (AEDG). Designed to mimic epithalamin, a naturally occurring peptide from the pineal gland, Epithalon (Epitalon) has attracted scientific attention in areas such as aging, longevity, telomere dynamics, sleep regulation, and cellular repair.
Studies have explored its potential role in stimulating telomerase activity, enhancing melatonin secretion, supporting circadian rhythms, and modulating age-related cellular changes, though comprehensive clinical trials in Western medicine remain scarce.
Key areas of research include:
– Mechanisms related to healthy aging and lifespan extension
– Telomere maintenance and telomerase function
– Improvement of sleep patterns and circadian regulation
– Activity and health of the pineal gland
– Cellular renewal and responses to physiological stress
Status: Investigational – Research mainly conducted in Russia. Currently classified as FDA Category 2, with a planned reclassification to Category 1 following the HHS announcement of April 15, 2026; however, it remains under Category 2 under existing regulations until the FDA formally updates its classification (PCAC review scheduled for July 23–24, 2026). Evidence level: Supported by human clinical trials.
•Common dosage: 5–10 mg per day for 10–20 days, administered once daily in cycles. Delivered via subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
•Studied for: Promoting longevity, supporting telomere health, anti-aging effects, and improving sleep.
